Roberto De Zerbi leaves Brighton and Hove Albion
Departure confirmed after just nine months in charge
Italian coach linked with Bayern Munich and Liverpool
Brighton and Hove Albion have confirmed that head coach Roberto De Zerbi will leave the club at the end of the season.
De Zerbi, 43, joined the Seagulls in September 2022 on a four-year contract, but has decided to leave after just nine months in charge.
The Italian has been linked with a number of clubs, including Bayern Munich and Liverpool, and is now expected to return to his homeland to take charge of a Serie A club.
De Zerbi's departure is a blow to Brighton, who have impressed under his leadership and are currently ninth in the Premier League.
The Seagulls are now on the lookout for a new manager, with former Chelsea boss Maurizio Sarri and ex-Burnley manager Sean Dyche among the early contenders.
